Mike Brannon- designer/owner of Light Link Lighting has selected Bunkha Design Group to design light fixtures for several of Mikes upcoming projects, and the word from the underground is that we may get featured in an upcoming issue of Texas Architect.
Pre-lim designs will be posted within the next 2 weeks.
Wait, there's more.
There might be another commission for Bunkha as well.
The outskirts of a small rural town 30 min. west of Houston named Sheridan Tx. will become the site of a new house for Sharon Hughes. She has been looking through floor plans online for some inspiration and has selected a few that she likes.
FYI- that ain't the Bunkha style.
So.... We are going to Bunkha-fy it.
More info will be posted after we meet again on the 4th of October.

CRITIQUE
The Honor of Thinking : Critique, Theory, Philosophy
RODOLPHE GASCHE. Palo Alto, Stanford University Press
"Critique" comes from the Greek krinein which means: "to sort" (sorndern), "to sort out" and thus to "lift out that of special sort" (das Besondere herausheben). This contrast [Abheben] against others [gegen anderes] arises from an elevation [Hinaufheben] to a new order. The sense of the word " critique" is so little negative that it means the most positive, the positing of what must be established in advance [im voraus angesetzt] in all positing [Setzung] as what is determinative and decisive. Therefore, critique is a separation and lifting out of the special, the uncommon and, at the same time, decisive [des Massgebenden], therefore, and only in consequence, is it also a rejection of the commonplace and unsuitable.
